Green, Glass...and Gynecological?

Hey, it IS green!

Wired has a nice gallery of some Green Concept Cars that are "waaaaay out there". All manner of artistic concepts are presented from architectural to consumerism to too futuristic to be possible yet-ism. A car that basically recreates the womb conjures more than one thought about the prevailing male attitudes in the automotive industry, especially about the idea of the "sexiness" of car.

These designs come from the students of The Royal College of Art, "...the world's only wholly postgraduate university institution of art and design." Sounds pretty prestigious. Wired Agrees:
"These outlandish designs will influence the cars you drive tomorrow. RCA has been teaching vehicle design since 1967 and its alumni include big-name designers at Ford, Mazda, Volvo and other companies. An RCA grad has probably worked on the car you're driving now, even if it isn't made of glass."
I don't know if it's even worth noting that both Mazda and Volvo are owned by Ford, and that the guy in charge of Design for all North America at Ford is an RCA graduate, because the designs really do speak for themselves. I guess if you're a Chevy lover you just don't go to that school.

These designs are great though. The future is brighter.
